We have some great news!

 

We have extended our application until Friday, March 1st at 5 p.m.

Who can apply to Pitch@WCC?

Eligible applicants to this year’s Pitch@WCC must be:

  • A WCC student or local community member who is an aspiring or current entrepreneur business that serves customers in our region.

  • Pitch @ WCC is designed for businesses in our local community, including freelancers, but NOT for franchise owners, multi-level marketers or those seeking venture capital.

  • You can apply if you participated in past competitions, but NOT if you won any Pitch @ WCC prizes in previous years.

  • If you pitched in the Pop-Up Mini Summer Art Fair Pitch in 2023 you can participate in Pitch @ WCC.

Pitch@ WCC 2024 Categories: 

 

Art

Visual or performing artistic business at the idea or early start-up stage (fewer than 5 customers) and for profit.

 

Returning Citizens

Exclusively for Returning Citizens. Can be at the idea or early-stage start-up (fewer than 5 customers). Can be a profit or non-profit and can be any type of business.

 

Skilled Trade

Skills, trade or manufacturing business at the idea or early start up stage (fewer than 5 customers) and for profit.

 

Social Impact

A business that has a social mission as its primary mission at the idea or early stage stastart-uprt up (fewer than 5 customers). Can be a profit or non-profit or if you are at the idea stage you have the intent to register as a profit or non-profit.


Student

Exclusively for WCC students. Could be at the idea or early stage start up (fewer than 5 customers). Can be a profit or non-profit and can be any type of business.

 

Start

This pitch is for those who have a business idea and/or are in the process of launching their business. One or a few customers.

 

Build

This pitch is for those who have an early-stage business and up to about 5 customers. Apply for this pitch if you are looking to further define your business and increase your customer base.

 

 

*NOTE: Only students can apply for two categories in Pitch@WCC.
